The Local Fresh Food Precinct is an area within Taste dedicated to the local produce available in our region. Stop by the precinct and purchase fresh produce direct from the farmer including pumpkins, apples, watermelons, fresh herbs, local honey and more.
Farmers encourage biodiversity by growing a range of food on their land and experimenting with varieties that are not always found in supermarkets.
The Local Fresh Food Precinct also features live music, cooking demonstrations and kid’s cooking workshops using sustainable ingredients sourced from local produce.
In 2019, the kids learnt to make fettuccine with zucchini, cherry tomatoes and cheese sauce. And they even got to eat the meal at the end of the workshop!
